The OpportunityThe Director of Strategic Execution plays a critical leadership role in translating Canopy’s strategy into results. This individual acts as a central force in ensuring that the company’s strategic priorities are clearly defined, rigorously executed, and consistently delivered across the organization.Working directly with the SVP, Supply Chain & Transformation and in close partnership with the Executive Leadership Team (ELT), this leader will drive enterprise-wide strategic initiatives, establish disciplined execution practices, and embed a high-performance operating rhythm across the business. This is a high-impact, high-visibility role for a leader who thrives at the intersection of strategy, transformation, and execution—someone equally comfortable shaping direction and driving accountability to outcomes.ResponsibilitiesEnterprise Strategy ExecutionPartner with the ELT to operationalize Canopy’s 3-year strategic plan, ensuring clear alignment between strategy, priorities, and executionTranslate enterprise strategy into actionable initiatives, with defined scopes, milestones, owners, and measurable outcomesEstablish and lead a centralized view of all strategic initiatives, ensuring prioritization, resource alignment, and delivery against commitmentsDrive clarity, focus, and accountability across initiatives to ensure tangible business impact and value realizationStrategic Initiatives & Program Leadership Lead a portfolio of cross-functional, enterprise-level strategic initiatives from ideation through execution and value captureMobilize and lead cross-functional teams, ensuring alignment across business units and functionsIdentify risks, remove barriers, and proactively course-correct initiatives to maintain momentumEnsure consistent use of best-practice program management and structured problem-solving methodologiesTransformation LeadershipSupport end-to-end transformation initiatives, including operating model redesign, cost optimization, supply chain improvements, and organizational effectivenessAct as a catalyst for change, helping the organization accelerate decision-making and execution despite competing operational pressuresPartner with business leaders to embed new ways of working and ensure sustained adoption of changesSupport corporate development initiatives, including integration planning and execution for M&A activitiesOperating Model & Performance ManagementDesign and institutionalize a best-in-class strategic execution framework, including governance, decision rights, and execution cadenceDevelop and implement performance management systems (KPIs, dashboards, operating reviews) to track progress against strategic prioritiesSupport a rigorous operating rhythm (e.g., MBRs, initiative reviews, executive updates) to drive transparency and accountabilityElevate performance across sites and functions by introducing structured continuous improvement and problem-solving practicesExperienceMinimum Bachelor’s degree; MBA, Masters, PhD, etc. a desirable bonus6–9 years of experience in management consulting, internal transformation, strategy, or operational excellence rolesDemonstrated experience leading complex, multi-stakeholder initiatives through to executionStrong structuring, problem-solving, and communication skillsAbility to operate comfortably between executive leadership and operational teamsExperience in operations-heavy, regulated, or manufacturing environmentsPrior exposure to large-scale transformation, integration, or performance improvement programsExperience building or implementing operating models, KPIs, or governance structuresOther DetailsThis is a full time remote position based in Ontario.Salary Range: $150,000 - $175,000Benefits – extended health and dental coverage, paid vacation, and participation in our employer-supported retirement savings programWe appreciate your interest, and promise to review all applications, but we will only be contacting those who best fit the requirements.We welcome and encourage applications from people with disabilities.
