Caption Translator -English to Bulgarian

This is a remote position.We are hiring a Caption/Subtitle Translator to join our project team. You will work alongside othertranslators and report directly to the project manager. Your main tasks will include translating captions/subtitle, Machine Translation Post Editing (MTPE), Transcreation etc. To succeed in this role you should have a natural understanding of target language and a good grasp of grammar.Translate content within captions/subtitles, documents, web pages, and softwareFix incorrect cultural translation issues which were done using Machine Translation (MTPE)Ability to change translation by confining them to limited number of words without breaking the meaningMaintain translation database by using Translation Management SoftwareProvide quality assurance for the translation processWork with a wide range of media andtranslation softwareResolve issues associated with translation, localization, and cultureEngage with other departments to provide translation servicesImplement feedback and changes whenever possibleRequirementsBelow are the qualifications expected of a translator:Bachelor's degreein communications or linguisticsMinimum four years experience in the translation fieldProficiency in any TranslationManagement System toolsand softwareKnowledge of the translation process, terminology, and localization techniquesFamiliarity with localization guidelines and standardsAbility to convertwritten materials into a second languageExcellent translation, writing, andcommunication skillsFluency in at least two of the target languagesAbility to work under tight deadlinesAdditional certification in Linguistics is a plusBenefitsOriginally posted on Himalayas
