Help us unlock funding for education, employment, and social impact initiatives.

At Startupistan Impact Ventures gUG, we develop and scale initiatives that connect education, digital skills, and employment opportunities, particularly for underserved communities.

Our work spans digital education, AI skills, workforce development, and international talent pathways. We collaborate with businesses, educational institutions, and international organizations to turn innovative ideas into measurable social impact.

We're looking for an experienced Freelance Grant Writer & Fundraising Consultant to help us identify funding opportunities, develop compelling proposals, and secure grants to expand our impact.

What you'll do

• Funding research: Identify relevant grant opportunities from foundations, corporate CSR programs, public funding institutions, and international donors.
• Grant writing: Develop high-quality funding proposals, concept notes, expressions of interest, and grant applications.
• Fundraising strategy: Build and maintain a pipeline of funding opportunities aligned with our mission and projects.
• Proposal development: Translate project ideas into compelling narratives, budgets, logical frameworks, and measurable impact indicators.
• Donor engagement: Support outreach, partnership development, and communication with prospective funders.
• Application management: Coordinate submission requirements, deadlines, supporting documentation, and follow-ups.

What we're looking for

• Proven experience in grant writing, institutional fundraising, or proposal development, ideally with a track record of successful applications.
• Familiarity with European and international funding ecosystems, including foundations, corporate philanthropy, EU funding, and development cooperation.
• Excellent written English; German is a strong advantage.
• Experience in education, employment, digital inclusion, migration, or international development is particularly relevant.
• Ability to work independently, manage deadlines, and turn early-stage ideas into fundable projects.

What we offer

• Flexible, remote freelance collaboration.
• Opportunity to work on meaningful social impact initiatives in Germany and internationally.
• Direct collaboration with the founding team.
• Potential for a long-term partnership across multiple projects and funding opportunities.
• Competitive compensation based on experience and scope.

Interested?

Please send us:

• A short introduction and your relevant experience.
• Examples of successful grant applications or funding secured.
• Your freelance rates and availability.

We're particularly interested in people who can combine strategic thinking with hands-on execution — identifying opportunities and actually getting strong applications submitted.
